BEFORE REGISTERING FOR MOOD MASTERY

Please take the time to read through the next two pages to ensure that this workshop is appropriate for you.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Mood Mastery provides helpful strategies and tools for those:

  • who are NOT diagnosed with mental disorders, but wish to increase motivation, joy and overall mental wellness

  • who are in periods of high stress

  • currently suffering with anxiety or clinical depression

  • wanting to reduce the risk of relapse from above

  • at high risk for depression from either genetic/hereditary factors or environmental (eg. those in serving professions)

  • family members of those affected by depression or anxiety disorders (eg. parent or spouse of someone who has depression/anxiety)

WHAT’S REQUIRED TO PARTICPATE:

  • enough mental and physical stamina to be able to focus for two hours (there will be a short break in the middle of each two-hour session)
  • the willingness and ability to participate in group interaction (please note, confidentiality guidelines are discussed extensively at the first session to ensure a safe environment. Also, everyone has the right to “pass” on discussing a certain topic, for example if it is a sensitive issue for the participant)

WHEN MOOD MASTERY MIGHT NOT BE THE RIGHT FIT:

Examples of when Mood Mastery might not be the right fit:

  • you are experiencing highly turbulent times and are unable to commit to regular weekly sessions and making time for homework

  • you are acutely ill with severe symptoms of depression anxiety

  • very recent hospitalization for above

  • current shock treatments (the memory effects of maintenance shock therapy make it very difficult for people to retain information)

  • other concurrent conditions (bipolar 1, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD)

If you have questions as to whether or not to register, please write to Magda at drczeg@gmail.com and she will be in touch with you to set up a phone conversation to review your exact situation.

Our goal is to ensure you participate if you can reasonably expect benefits; and also to ensure that the work of the group as a whole is not significantly limited.
